Rising Stars New Assistant!

CFJFC is pleased to welcome to the club and initially to The Rising Stars – Michael Pilcher .

Michael started attending the Rising Stars early this year and has subsequently agreed to join the club and provide additional support to Jodie Crane and is keen to develop his coaching skills. He has completed his DBS Checks and the club will be arranging for him to attend all the required courses.

I hope you will all join me in welcoming him to such a great football club ⚽️⚽️⚽️

In Michael’s words:

” As a Coxheath resident and father of three girls, my eldest Elizabeth joined the Rising Stars in early 2017, and I looked into joining the coaching team later that year.

C&FJFC is my first foray into youth coaching, having previously been player/manager of several local men’s teams over the years. A desire to be involved in the beautiful game led to me forming my own team in 2000, aged 15. The playing side later took a backseat to spectating – I recently completed my mission to visit all 92 Football League grounds in England & Wales, a journey that took in excess of 24,000 miles.

Teamwork, technical ability and quick passing are all pretty important, yet I think the most critical part of playing football is often overlooked: enjoyment.”

Well said Michael and congratulations on your fantastic achievement

New Club Treasurer!

CHAIRMANS ANNOUNCEMENT

On behalf of the CFJFC Committee, I am delighted to announce that following the departure of Paul Turner at the last AGM, following a series of discussions a new treasurer has now been appointed.

Before confirming  the new addition to the Committee can I take this opportunity to personally thank Paul Turner for his commitment , effort and loyalty to the Club during his stay, Paul was an important cog in the Clubs development.

However I am delighted to announce that in keeping with not changing the Club Headed Paper, and following interest in the position  we have now appointed Sandy Turner to the role of Treasurer with immediate effect. Following a meeting yesterday evening with The Chairman & Secretary it is clear that Sandy will be ideal for the role and will be able to devote more time to the role , which will enable the Club to be even more efficient.

Sandy also has a number of interesting ideas which will be put in place in due course which both Martin (Secretary) & I consider to be of benefit moving forward.

For those of you who do not know Sandy she is the wife of our current Under 9’s Manager and has experience of working on other committees historically and will clearly be a valuable acquisition to CFJFC.

Sandy can be contacted via the following email address: treasurer.cfjfc@gmail.com.

I know our new Treasurer is very keen to hit the ground running and work with the Committee and I would ask that all Managers & Coaches respect her position within the Club and provide full support as and where requested as Sandy will be responsible for all aspects including maintaining stringent control over team budgets.”

Finally I am sure you would all like to join the Club Committee in welcoming Sandy to the role of Club Treasurer and wish her every success.

Yours sincerely
