New Club Treasurer!

CHAIRMANS ANNOUNCEMENT

On behalf of the CFJFC Committee, I am delighted to announce that following the departure of Paul Turner at the last AGM, following a series of discussions a new treasurer has now been appointed.

Before confirming  the new addition to the Committee can I take this opportunity to personally thank Paul Turner for his commitment , effort and loyalty to the Club during his stay, Paul was an important cog in the Clubs development.

However I am delighted to announce that in keeping with not changing the Club Headed Paper, and following interest in the position  we have now appointed Sandy Turner to the role of Treasurer with immediate effect. Following a meeting yesterday evening with The Chairman & Secretary it is clear that Sandy will be ideal for the role and will be able to devote more time to the role , which will enable the Club to be even more efficient.

Sandy also has a number of interesting ideas which will be put in place in due course which both Martin (Secretary) & I consider to be of benefit moving forward.

For those of you who do not know Sandy she is the wife of our current Under 9’s Manager and has experience of working on other committees historically and will clearly be a valuable acquisition to CFJFC.

Sandy can be contacted via the following email address: treasurer.cfjfc@gmail.com.

I know our new Treasurer is very keen to hit the ground running and work with the Committee and I would ask that all Managers & Coaches respect her position within the Club and provide full support as and where requested as Sandy will be responsible for all aspects including maintaining stringent control over team budgets.”

Finally I am sure you would all like to join the Club Committee in welcoming Sandy to the role of Club Treasurer and wish her every success.

Yours sincerely

Information on Child Abuse and Bullying

CHILD ABUSE & BULLYING :

Dear All

I am sure that many of you would have both heard and read about the various cases of Child Abuse & Bullying that have now been disclosed both within the press and on social media regarding child abuse in football suffered by former professional footballers and clearly this is of concern.

Firstly, as a Club we would like to ensure you all that we can offer support to those who need it and make sure that you are aware of the specific helpline commissioned by The FA with the NSPCC to provide help and encourage more people to come forward. The number is 0800 023 2642.

Secondly, we ask you too are extra vigilant with regards to safeguarding and CFJFC procedures , and in the first instance you should contact our CWO – Kerry Butler immediately or if you have any concerns, please contact The FA by emailing

safeguarding@thefa.com.

We cannot afford as a club to be complacent , as the safeguarding landscape has changed significantly in recent years, and we must ensure we all treat this topic with the utmost care.

In light of descent disclosures and the suspected abuse of children including bullying it is important that all our Club Officers,Team Managers, and Coaching Staff are aware of the procedures and we regularly support attendance at Safeguarding Children Workshops.

We need to aid protection of children and I have detailed below links to both CEOP and Childline for information purposes. The FA in line with the normal FA safeguarding procedures, are working closely with the police and relevant authorities and CFJFC continue to encourage anyone with information about possible child abuse to report their concerns to the police, The FA or the NSPCC.

Contact Numbers are : CEOP (0800 023 2642) whilst the number of the NSPCC is (0808 800 5000).

Website Links are as follows:
