Coxheath & Farleigh U13 vs Kings Hill Rangers U13

CFJFC U13’s (11) vs Kings Hill Rangers (0)

After the results from recent weeks we seemed to be ready right from the start wanting to be first to the ball , winning challenges and playing football, and as a Coaching Staff we set ourself challenges I can safely say that these were achieved today.

The encouraging part of today was initially the team selection with some players who would normally start being rotated which allowed encouraging performances from new boys Owen and Toby in the first half.

Owen clearly listening to our instructions to follow up on every shot at goal just in case the goalie made a mistake and he gladly helped himself to his first 2 goals for CFJFC. Today we used the width of the pitch in the first half to the maximum which allowed more space down the middle to get in behind the defence and score especially with our attacking pace.

It was a joy to watch the boys today, score at will and the highlight had to be our 4th goal which started from our own goal area and consisted of a maximum of 6 passes and only 4 players involved, simple one touch pass and move expedited to perfection down the left hand side. Perhaps they do listen in training.

As the whistle blew for half time we lead 6 – 0 and the half time talk was very easy. That’s not to say we did need to remind the boys that the warning signs were there of ever increasing goal threat from Kings Hill.

Changes were made at HT and within minutes we extended our lead once again. Goals and fluent football continued throughout the second half and another excellent team goal followed once again from “pass and move” finished with a tap in at the far post by TM

Substitutes were made at regular intervals which allowed us to rotate a number of players, we even had time to hit the bar again before further goals including a debatable own goal from the opponents keeper, which our Captain is trying to claim !!

Positives today were the players attitude from the start , performance of the new players, ability to pass and move all finished off with a number of excellent goals.

A special mention must go to Kings Hill Rangers who did not at any time let there heads drop and continued to battle right to the end. Well done boys you are a credit to your Manager.
