The Rising Stars was previously known as The Academy, but following a re-organisation and change in staff it has been rebranded as The Rising Stars and is where our youngest club members start, primarily from the Age of 5 but we do have the odd 4 year old amongst our fold. Coxheath & Farleigh JFC continue to excel in bringing grassroots football to the village and surrounding area and the aim of The Rising Stars is to develop the next generation of club players, and this season has seen a number of the young ones take the next step forward into our Under 8s team. It is held on a Saturday morning between 9:00am and 10:30am (starting again in September) on the field behind Coxheath Village Hall, Stockett Lane, Coxheath, and details can be found either via our Facebook Page, or boys and girls can simply turn up on the Morning and join in the fun. Cost is £5 annual membership, plus £2.50 per session. You can download a registration form here – Rising Stars registration
The Rising Stars is run by Jodie Crane who is FA Level 1 Qualified, ably assisted by some of our existing older boys from the Club and the Chairman. The purpose is for the children to have fun and develop their footballing ability and progress into the various teams, initially at age 7 (current Under 8’s Team), where in accordance The FA requirements play non-competitive football between the age of 8 – 11. Since its re-branding and with Jodie’s experience as a teacher Rising Stars has gone from strength to strength and the feedback we have received is exceptional , with such comments from parents as their children are: “having fun”, “cannot wait for Saturday morning football” “have made new friends “and “always in the garden kicking a football”.
So why not come along on a Saturday Morning it is the ideal opportunity for parents to stand and watch their child’s development whilst having a chat with other parents or simply drinking a cup of coffee and socialising with our Chairman.
