MPE Sports U10 vs Coxheath & Farleigh Colts U10

After a bump in the road last weekend the colts returned to winning ways this Sunday.

The boys took control of the game from the outset and were in complete control from start to finish.

The first goal was a screamer and would not look out of place on Match of the Day for goal of the season. It was a thunder bolt struck from just inside the opponents half. The keeper had zero chance of getting anywhere near the ball to attempt a save. The ball flew into the top right hand corner before almost bursting the net.

The second goal was again an amazing run from our right midfield player. Picking the ball up inside our half, he took on five players before knocking the ball through the keepers legs. The goal this week was the fifth goal in six matches for him and is he our leading goal scorer!!

Well done boys. Back to winning ways. Long may it continue.

Tunbridge Wells Brenchley U10 vs Coxheath & Farleigh Colts U10

Today the boys leant a simple lesson from a very well organised team. That lesson being…. let the ball do the work!!

As the manager I have to give credit to our opposition, they played some great football and moved the ball around very well. In no way did our lads give in and they were all fully committed in the match. During periods of the game we shown Brenchley what a great team we are and are more than capable of playing free flowing, one touch football. A superb individual goal by one of our midfield players was the highlight, but as a team we played really well.

In the end we lost by a narrow margin, our goal keeper made some incredibly brave saves and kept us within touching distance of our opponents.

Some you win, some you lose. On the whole the result was fair reflection of a very good game of football.

Coxheath & Farleigh Colts U10 vs Rochester U10

On a beautiful sunny morning in October!!!, The colts turned in their best performance of the season so far. Against a strong Rochester team the lads played some lovely football.

The short sharp passing we have been working on in training was used on many occasions to open Rochester up like a tin of sardines!  Some great individual runs by the midfield players was beautiful to watch and created countless chances.

Every player worked so hard for the team and each other. They are really beginning to go forward and back as a team which is a joy to watch. In the end the match finished with a solid victory for the colts.

Well done boys, well deserved. The standard has been set high, so fingers crossed for the same again next week!!

Hartley De Sales U10 vs Coxheath & Farleigh Colts U10

After three weeks of lots of effort and some unlucky results the colts U10’s finally got the victory they have been working for today. An excellent result over Hartley de Sales. Our boys played some great football and thoroughly deserved the win. The score could have been higher had the wood work not got in the way!! From the keeper to the striker we out played our opponents across the pitch. So that’s one win, one draw and a very unlucky loss so far this season. Well done boys, very proud of the way you go into every game. Keep it up and I know there are more wins to follow this one.
